Do people ever check themselves instead of others?

Most of the time I hear about people trying to look up others before meeting, but I rarely see anyone talk about checking their own digital presence. The Teachecker is often brought up when discussing finding mentions or traces online, and it made me think how many people actually use these kinds of tools to understand how they might appear to others? It’s interesting because in a space where everyone is cautious, self-awareness might matter just as much as checking someone else.
